we all have epic moments in our lives. at midnight tonight, Boston time (EDT), i’ll be having one. i’m not good at celebrating epic moments. i wasn’t able to be at the 30th anniversary of the new york church, and few thing have ever been as important in my life as Lisa Johnson and i planting that congregation in 1983. Lisa and i were married a week before christmas, so once we had children, celebrating our anniversary took a step behind doting on our daughters and i’ve not been good at celebrating the most important person in my life. and tonight i ought to be with Sherwin Mackintosh… i’ve had few men in my life who are as spiritual and inspiring and supportive as sherwin. i ought to be with him tonight. we started something together 30 years ago. and tonight we’re going to start something again. we’re going to begin a quixotic quest to share Upside Down with a billion people, hopefully before we die… which, you know… we’re getting old… i don’t know how to celebrate this in a manner fitting and i’ve not made cool plans to do it as i think it should be done, but thanks to all of you who have been on this journey with us. over 1000 of you subscribed to our channel and i’m grateful. over 100 of you went out on a limb with us and are offering up your social media for the cause of Christ and sharing the link to the free show. i know thousands more of you would do more if we had some way to share this with all of you, but in God’s time it will be what it will be. i believe in any truly successful endeavor the glory goes to God and in this case no cause could be any clearer that it’s purpose is solely to help people remember the Lord. And turn our world upside down for Him.
