Carver Cafe

I don’t really like the cold and rain, and even less on a motorcycle. So it’s surely not like me to get up on a wet and chilly Oregon day and fire the old beemer up for a ride. But today I was hankering… remember that word?… for a pork chop breakfast; and the only place I know for sure, without a doubt, that I can always count on… 365 days a year and all day long…  is the Carver Cafe https://carvercafe.com

I’m a quick ride to Damascus and from there it’s just a short ride and one right hand turn to get out to Carver. The Carver Cafe is stuck in time but in a good way. Sitting on the old two lane road that will lead you to one of the prettiest scenic drives along the Clackamas, the old cafe serves breakfast all day. For those of you who might care, this was used as a location for the movie “Twilight” …

… but the folks who are there all the time know this to be a down to earth, good times and good food, kind of place. As their website says, they often hear that they are  one of ‘a dying breed’.

Kind of like the word hankering.
