Pray for our friend

Speech Thomas is truly many things. He’s truly a tremendous talent. He’s truly a celebrity. He’s truly accomplished. But if you know him, you know he’s truly a follower of Jesus. And he’s never said ‘no’ to helping his brothers and sisters when asked to appear, to perform, to help out… if he was able to. Now is a time our dear friend needs our prayers. I asked Yolanda and him if it was okay to share this note he sent to some of his closest friends. He said he didn’t mind at all and thanks. Here’s his note. Let’s remember this kind, beautiful soul in our prayers. Thank you.

Hey Everybody,

As you know for the last month, I’ve been struggling with non-stop intense headaches. I’ve had headaches like these for brief moments for the last 15 years, but for some reason they started being continuous 24 hours a day.

I know many of you have been praying for me. I am so grateful. Some have offered to stop by, others have brought food and gave me warm wishes. All of it is so deeply appreciated. I was going to take some of you up on your offers for help, but my mother started coming by and Yolanda and the kids were due home and I knew I would have more support.

It just so happened that after a day or so of enjoying my family, theheadache went into overdrive and I experienced the worse pain of my life. I had to be rushed to the ER at 11:30pm last Thursday, after having been to urgent care 3 prior times. I was given morphine and many other drugs through IV. I was given numerous medications from all of those visits. I was hopeful that something would work. But unfortunately it was just as bad.

On Monday, Yolanda took me to my primary care physician and he put me on another regimen. Unfortunately that didn’t work either. We scheduled an appointment with the neurologist for Wednesday. They then put me on an
entirely different regimen. As of today, these are by far the most effective and are seeming to bring me back to normal health.

My hopes have always been to find a cure during the time that I was not touring so that this would not dampen tour plans. The neurologist has
already said that I am not yet ready to work, or go back to my regular routines. He said it could cause a relapse in symptoms. So thank you
again for all of your prayers, texts, and thoughts. I deeply appreciate each and every one of you more now than ever before. Continue to pray and
I will update you on Monday.

Much love,

Speech
