Skunk to Whodathunk

Well, it’s almost my birthday and a holiday for most folks, so allow me to digress into one of my favorite secular pastimes.

This bike began life in 1975 as a moto guzzi 850 t3. It was the beginning of the goodbye to the old loop frames, and drum brakes, and hello to Mr. De Tomasa and front disc brakes for everybody (they’d given a front disc to police a year before on the old el dorado).

Somewhere over the years someone decided to make a skunk out of it.guzzi-skunk

I picked it up in Portland earlier this year for a vintage ride I hosted and then sent it off to my partner in Denver who turned it into this:guzzi-sport

He added the the other disc and a couple of other things (I’m really minimizing now) and turned it into a Moto Guzzi v7 Sport.

As of March 2017 we still have this bike. At the moment it’s in Ray’s garage, Denver, Colorado. But if we’re lucky enough to not part with this beauty before the weather breaks and the passes all open up, it’s going to be seen flashing around Portland this summer. This bike could be your’s for just a little north of $5000. Call me or email for more details.
