If you’ve ever meet Buzz you know what I mean when I say he’s an original. I’m lucky he’s family; he married Lisa’s mom about a year after we got married and he’s been one of God’s greatest blessings in our life. From NYC to Savannah to out here in the wild west of Portland, Buzz has been a faithful friend, dear brother, and Opa to my kids.
Today Buzz arranged to get a couple of bikes so we could spend the day together riding. Our buddy Bob https://www.rideinoregon.us/ has two new Triumphs in his fleet that need to get some miles on them so I met Buzz early and we rode all day on a Bonneville and an America. We squeezed a lot of life into this particular Monday, beginning with meeting Joey and Rick to tell Rick we’re pulling him into our “circle of trust”… more on that some other time. We found some cool roads around East LoLo pass that I didn’t know about; revealing a new view, for me, of Mt. Hood from the west. We rode on to one of the best little roads, old historic 30 going from Mossier where we stopped at https://10speedcoffee.com/ and then went on to Rowena Crest for the photo op stuff https://byways.org/explore/byways/2141/places/16173/
Thanks Buzz for a great day.
