Skype Rehearsals

With a cast from all across the country, we’re having a wonderful time using Skype for rehearsals. I get to sit in ‘my chair’ in Portland, Oregon and direct some of the most talented people in the world via the little screen sitting on my lap. Already today I’ve met with three of our actors and it’s been a hoot.Screen Shot 2016-03-04 at 10.08.59 AM

I’m taking a short break to post this beautiful picture of one of my favorite people, Lindsay Patterson. Lindsay is a music teacher in LA and an opera singer. She’s playing Tabitha in our show. For those familiar with the story of Tabitha in the bible, you will be very surprised with the expansion of the character we’ve created for our show. A lot of the expanding came after casting Lindsay. Though Tabitha has only a few lines of story in the book of Acts; once we saw Lindsay we couldn’t let her get off the stage so quickly. Her character has become a main role in the show and we’re so lucky to have Lindsay and her incredible voice added to our fantastic cast.

Upside Down is going to be shown in St. Louis July 7-10. There will be 5 shows; 3 evenings and two matinees. The shows are already nearly sold out. At this moment there are a little more than 160 seats left. If you’d like to see the show hurry to https://upsidedowntheatre.com

Now I’ve got to hurry to my next Skype rehearsal. This one coming up is very, very special… more about that later.
